Party Sidekick helps parents find and compare kids' birthday parties. You don't need an account, we don't set cookies, and we don't sell or share your information with advertisers. This page explains the little we do keep.

What stays in your browser

To make the site work, we keep a few things in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you share a list.

  • Your shortlist and the places you picked to compare.
  • Your party details: your child's age, number of kids, date and postal code or area, so every page shows prices for your party.
  • The name you vote with on a shared list.
  • You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website.

What we keep on our server

  • Shared lists. When you share a shortlist, we store the places on it, your party details, and any names, votes and notes people add. Anyone with the link can see them, so don't write anything private. You can delete a list you shared from your shortlist page at any time, and we delete lists nobody has used in a year.
  • Anonymous usage counts. When someone clicks to book, calls, or copies a quote request, we record which place it was and the party details (age, number of kids, date). We don't record names, email addresses or IP addresses with these counts. They tell us which places parents book and help us keep the listings useful.
  • Server logs. Like any website, our hosting providers keep short-term logs of requests, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and running.

What we don't collect

  • No accounts, passwords or payment details.
  • No cookies, analytics trackers or advertising pixels.
  • Quote requests open in your own email app and go straight to the business. We never see or store them.
  • This site is for parents. It isn't directed to children, and we don't collect children's names.

Other services the site uses

  • OpenStreetMap provides the map images. Its servers receive your IP address when a map loads.
  • Postal-code locations come from GeoNames (geonames.org, CC BY 4.0) and are stored on our server, so looking up your postal code sends it nowhere else.
  • Links to businesses take you to their own websites and booking systems, which have their own privacy policies.

Where your information is stored

Our server data is stored with our hosting providers, which may be outside Canada (for example in the United States). It's protected by access controls and kept only as long as described above.

Who to contact

The person responsible for privacy at Party Sidekick is the owner of the business. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email [privacy email]. We'll reply within 30 days.

If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or in Quebec to the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If we ever add analytics or advertising that tracks you, we'll ask first.
